Hey Nicky
I describe the Web 2.0 platforms and blogging to aid a static web site as the difference between a brochure and a conversation. Conversations are interactive and more likely to result in change (a purchase).

It seems that Cairns businesses are beginning to catch onto the HUGE benefits of business/corporate blogging. I was very pleasantly surprised to learn that Andrew Steele from Hot air Balloons (http://www.hotair.com.au/) knows about Web 2.0 and all that it offers. I'll be adding him to our list of Cairns bloggers and positively plugging his business for him.

Given our loss of Qantas flights it is time for Cairns businesses to market directly to potential international customers. I see business blogging as a new form of cold calling - only it is a conference cold call because you can speak to thousands at the same time.

I miss your articles when you don't post for a week. I come looking everyday for new posts. Imagine if every business could create such loyalty with a blog.
